Friends, I’ll share my next adventure with you!

I’m going to Ecuador, a country that has exquisite landscapes, friendly people and three spectacular mountains: Cayambe (5,790 mamsl), Cotopaxi (5,911 mamsl) and Chimborazo (6,310 mamsl).

First, I’ll ascend a small peak called Pichincha, and then Cayambe where I’ll review knots and the techniques for climbing on ice. Next, I’ll go to Cotopaxi, which is one of the tallest active volcanoes in the world.

And, finally, I’ll conquer Chimborazo!

It is the highest mountain in Ecuador. Its summit is the place that is both the farthest from the Earth’s surface and the closest to the sun. It also boasts spectacular glaciers. On clear days, you can see it all the way from Guayaquil.

I am wholly enthusiastic about this trip because I know that with each step I will be arriving closer to my goal, which is to help children with kidney disease. I ask God, because he is by my side with every step, that he give me strength and guard me; these are my prayers for all of the people who accompany me.

So, that’s how it is friends, look for upcoming news of the trip and wish me luck!
